Job Description:

Faribault County Central Services is accepting applications for a Drainage Water Management Technician.  This technician works directly under the Drainage Manager and is knowledgable on responsibilities outlined in Minnesota buffer and drainage laws.

Strong understanding of state and local water quality/quantity issues, agriculture, water quality best management and drainage practices.  Coordinates buffer law enforcement, including assisting and developing partnerships with landowners, resource agencies, and other stakeholders.  Promotes implementation of erosion and water quality measures.  Conducts inspections, compiles and utilizes various data and works with stakeholders on various data for reporting.  Assists with various Drainage responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications include: Associate's degree in Natural Resource Science or Agriculture or two-year technical certificate in civil engineering and two years of job relevant experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.  A Minnesota driver's license is required.  Salary based on qualifications with a range of $18.24 - $23.11.  This is a benefit eligible, union classification position with a 40 hour work week.
